
On Saturday 19th March, The Taupo Blues Picnic (with its fabulous line up of acts) will be held at the Unison Ampitheatre, Riverside Park, Taupo and is all about raising funds for fellow kiwis in Christchurch in their time of tremendous need.
The aim is to raise $100,000 for Christchurch, and more details about the picnic can be found below.
So, get a group together (special pricing for groups of 8 or more), pack a picnic and enjoy 8 hours of fabulous live music.
Gates open at 12:30, the show starts at 2pm and rocks on until 10pm with 6 fabulous acts for your entertainment.
You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages but not alcohol.
Moderately priced wines will be available by the glass or bottle, and beer, food, coffee and soft drinks will also be available for purchase.
All vendors have been asked to contribute a percentage of their proceeds to the earthquake appeal.
There is plenty of parking or ride the Blues bus for just $5 return.
Buses will pick up from Rainbow Point Store, the iSite in town, Nukuhau shops and Acacia Bay shops.
Gate sales are available at $35 but pre-purchase tickets at Ticketek.com or at the Ticketek office, Great Lake Centre, Taupo and save $7.50 per ticket.
Children under 16 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
