It was with great delight that we recently received this message from Midge...
Hi Everyone,
I have been on a three month roadtrip in the Southern states since early Oct, nice to get the newsletters online while over here.
I noticed the many celebrations of the death of my friend Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I went to his gravesite a few days before the anniversary for my own personal memorial.
It was a beautiful quiet summer day, and I wanted to send you a few photos of that day to put on the site.
You will be pleased to know Stevie lies in peace alongside his mother and father, in a beautiful landscaped plot amongst trees and gardens in Dallas Texas in what is called the Vaughan Estate.
The bronze statue of Stevie (far right) is not located in Dallas at his grave site, but a couple of hundred miles away in Zilker Park, Austin.
This is taken in the excellent Blues Museum in Leland Mississippi, its run by a friend of mine Billy Johnson, he like everyone needs all the publicity he can get to attract people to the Delta.
Pat is the son of the famous Delta blues legend Son Thomas, Pat continues in the tradition of his father.
By the way, have a look at the pic of me and Pat Thomas jamming, in the top of the photo on the wall is one of my old posters with Willie Foster, I couldnt believe it !!

Best wishes to all, I will be back in mid October, keep up the great work in keeping the blues alive !
Regards
