The Auckland Blues Club is very greatful to have The Winchester as a supporter of the club.
The monthly jam night is held at The Winchester and without the support of this venue the blues jam wouldn't happen.
The Winchester is situated on the ground floor of a magnificent art deco era building that was originally constructed for the freemasons, and much of its original interesting architecture remains today.
They have 2 well appointed function rooms for guest lists of 50 - 300.
The Pinnacle bar is The Winchester's larger room capable of holding up to 250 guests.
It contains an original '80s style bar, there's a stage for a band or pro-DJ, an in-house sound system, (into which can be plugged an ipod or laptop), and plenty of effect lighting.
The Winchester allows for self catering or the option to choose from thier recommended caterer's extensive list of canapes and finger foods.
The room is able to be decorated or themed in the afternoon of a function and theres plenty of both on site and street parking.
There is an adjoining covered area for smokers.
The Lounge bar is a smaller room suitable for a guest list of 80-90. I
t features a modern cocktail bar, sound system for your pro-DJ, laptop or ipod, effects lighting and comfortable couches.
This room is also avaailable to be self catered and decorated or themed on the afternoon of a function.
The Winchester provide all barstaff, security, a functions manager (who will be present at your event) and a friendly doorman at no cost.
There's no room hire for either room but a minimum bartab is required (or a minimum spend option in the Lounge bar only).
